I’m running a festival!

Which is partially why I have been so busy lately.  That, and as much as I love writing, I really need to get my outline straight COMPLETELY before I get started.  I may have to scrap entire chapters of my new book because I went on a tangent and diverged from the storyline.

Anyhow, if you live in Massachusetts, you might enjoy my “buy local” festival.  Link here: Spencer LocalFest

I will have a booth there with all of my books, so stop by for an autograph!

Review Offer!

I have dabbled before… (see PAWS Review)… but now I think I am ready to take on a real challenge.

I would like to read and review your book.

I vastly prefer novels in the genre of fantasy, science fiction, or mystery/thriller, but I will be happy to read a synopsis of your book and decide if it is something I would be interested in.  If the material doesn’t interest me, I can’t read it. I do enjoy a bit of history as well, so historical thrillers or historical romance (not smut) would be considered.

Here is the catch: you will need to provide me with a copy of your book (I have a Kindle, or hard copies are acceptable) and $1 to my PayPal. If these terms are agreeable, please send your review request to ameliaritner@gmail.com.

Warning: I am a Grammar/ English Nazi. If your writing or grammar is terrible, I will not be able to finish reading the book and I will refund your fee. Please write a personal email to prove how articulate you are when you pitch me your story.

Thank you! I look forward to your books!

Looking for more Fuzzy Business?

I’m spending a year on hiatus from Fuzzy Business, working on my fantasy story project and (of course) working my butt off at gardening jobs.

If you enjoy my Fuzzy Business series, can you please write an Amazon review? Unless you write a review or contact me personally, I really have no idea whether any of you would like me to write more in that series.  And I hate to say it’s a waste of time, but if nobody wants to see more of the humanimal world, I won’t bother writing it.

So, help a writer out! Let me know what you think of ANY of the Fuzzy Business books!  I’d love to see some FB fan art as well, if you draw any.  Here is a picture (original concept art) I drew of Connor:

Jumping Off My Political Soap Box

I’m not sure if I built it up myself, but I just finished writing a very revolutionary-sounding dialogue in my new book.  At this point, I don’t care if you know it or hate me for it; I am a Libertarian.  I believe in limiting the power of government, being fiscally responsible and conservative, and being socially liberal–which means I don’t care what you do in your own personal life and I absolutely agree you have the right to do it, within reason (no raping and pillaging, etc.)

If there was some kind of major environmental disaster that hit multiple places in the United States all within a period of months, there would of course be a reaction from the government, hopefully to help repair the situation.  But if they can’t repair the damage, how would they fix things?

Anyway, I thought I would add a little note for Happy Spring! My arms hurt from shoveling and my legs are sore… Spring time for farm girls is rough!

Busy Bee

I have been busy with a hundred things. I got a new job at a greenhouse, my kids had the flu, I made a new batch of SOAP , and I have been writing in between being exhausted and sick myself.

Here is another clue about my new novel: FB_IMG_1453340169073

On another personal note, my man got all his bee keeping stuff in and is super stoked to stern bee keeping this year. I am allergic to bees, but I do love some honey!

Random Updates

Well, nobody won the poster.  Why? Because NOBODY commented on the entry that would have automatically entered them to win!  Where are my fans at? Guess I just have to hold on to these posters myself for awhile.

In other news, Imperfect Produce, a food delivery company out in California, is now carrying copies of Ugly Farm to sell to their customers.  How cool is that?!  Hopefully the book is getting the message out.  This is an ugly peach, by the way:

Do you read Ugly Farm to your kids at night?
